  3. Reminder – You have until Monday, March 23rd, to submit any late assignments.  After that deadline, you will receive a mark of 0% for each late assignment.

Back from a lovely snow day, we took the time to correct the questions for Forbidden City; click HERE to view the answers (p. 152 to 187).  Then, we finished reading the novel, answered the remaining questions (click HERE to view the answers for p. 188 to 199), and reviewed for Thursday's evaluation.

 

As mentioned in class today, if we have a snow day tomorrow, all the Gift of Gab presentations will be moved to Thursday (after the test) and Friday.

 

Please note:  Any late assignments that are not submitted by Monday, March 23rd, will not be accepted, and you will receive a mark of 0% for each.

After that, we had a little discussion about brushing knots out of hair, raising children, hoping my daughters don't end up like Bristol, and not calling my kids "chungus" or "big back".  It was quite informative!

 

Finally, we read p. 86 to 95 together, and you had a little time to work on your assignments.

To start, I handed out a calendar for the next 6 weeks; click HERE to view it.  Again, a strategy for getting organized can be to use a similar calendar to keep track of all your assignments and tasks.

 

After that, we watched the exciting 3rd period and overtime of the Canada vs. Czechia game.  Go Canada Go!!!  Finally, we read a little bit together (Forbidden City).

 

Homework:  For tomorrow, please read to the end of p. 43 and answer the questions for p. 21 to 41.

 

 

Tuesday, February 17th, 2026

Today, we finished reading the Code of Conduct which I handed out yesterday.  Then, I explained the Independent Reading Unit (The Pigman).  I handed out two documents; see below:

After that, I showed you a potential plan to ensure that you complete the entire reading unit by the deadline of Wednesday, June 10thReminder - For next Tuesday, you must put together your own plan which lists your deadlines for this independent unit.
